I recently held a great f.r.e.e. teleseminar on list building with my friend and mentor Carrie Wilkerson. On this call we talked about one of the best strategies for list building.... a f.r.e.e. teleseminar!

Teleseminars and webinars are one of the main ways I have tripled my list in the last few months. They are a very powerful tool and can be used in your business in a number of ways. In today's article I'm first going to talk about how you can use a teleseminar in your business and then share with you a few quick ways to promote it.

Just because you put together a teleseminar doesn't mean people are going to show up for it! I learned this lesson the hard way. My first ever teleseminar I had probably two people on the line. But the point was I now had experience, a recording, and a transcript. But for your teleseminar I would love it if you had an audience as well:)

Also, now the game has changed a little bit. When I first started out there wasn't twitter, Facebook events, and LinkedIn wasn't really popular. So now we have a ton of f.r.e.e. ways to get the word out about our teleseminar.

Reasons To Host A Teleseminar

Easily Build Your List- Giveaway great content with a f.r.e.e teleseminar to help build your list.
Create Your Free Offer- I used my first teleseminar to create my f.r.e.e. report I now giveaway. For me it was easier to just talk then write the whole report out, plus I was building my list at the same time.
Sell A Product or Service- Giveaway great content and at the same time promote an event or product.
Create A Product- Easily create a product by recording the teleseminar and sell the audio or transcript with it.
Get Paid To Create A Product- Create a paid teleseminar and now you're getting paid in order to create your product.
A Telesummit Event- Use teleseminar technology to create a special virtual event with guest speakers. You can then use this to build your list and also sell the recordings.

And now you're ready to let the world know about your teleseminar. First, you need to put together a squeeze page. Websites 2 Grow allows you to easily create a squeeze page, so that's where I would get started first.

Now you want to send everyone you know to this squeeze page! Use Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Email Marketing, Ezine Advertising, and/or Pay Per Click Advertising.

You can create events for your teleseminar through Facebook and LinkedIn, but be careful not to spam all of your friends.

The most important thing to remember "what is your purpose for hosting a teleseminar" and the rest will fall into place.
