Let me open your eyes to some of the realities. But please don't take this as an article written by someone who is bitter against the industry. I am not. As a matter of fact I make a pretty good living online. I just want to give you some cold hard facts to consider while making your decision. Truth is, it is not as easy as all of the so called Gurus, Marketing Trainers and other experts would have you believe.

An Internet Business is no different than any other business. It takes time and hard work. Just like any other business there is a learning curve. Don't expect to hit a home run right off the bench. An internet business is no quick fix to profitability. Understanding and accepting that is key. Frustration with the lack of quick results is why most people fail. They fail because they give up.

The good news is, building a successful internet business is SIMPLE. (note I didn't say it was easy) It only requires that you are diligent about completing a few tasks on a regular basis. I'll get into that a bit later.

First you will need to find the right Internet Business Income Opportunity. There are many so make the most of the online resources. Finding the right one can be very challenging especially if you have not really tried setting up your own business before. Many people are in the same position as you right now because of the present state of the economy. It is staggering how many people are looking to the internet as a way to earn some money. In fact it is the most searched category in all the major search engines.

There is a tremendous amount of legitimate, respectable opportunities BUT there is also an overwhelming amount of scams as well. Just be careful. Take your time and use the internet to research things like the company, the products, your sponsor or person who referred you. Don't be afraid to call. Talk and ask questions. It's a big decision.

I see an awful lot of people jumping from one opportunity to the next. I guess they think if they are not making money right away that they are in the wrong business. So they jump to next opportunity thinking it will be the Holy Grail. Well it just does not work like that. If you do the work most of them will be profitable. People fail at this because they are looking for the easier softer way. They are looking for the quick fix. There is no quick fix. You have to work at this and learn.

If you are looking to hit the ground running I suggest you go with one of the existing Network Marketing Companies as an option for an internet business income opportunity. Don't let the stigmas deter you. Many, many people have built fortunes in companies like Amway, Avon and Pampered Chef. Network Marketing Companies have a lot going for them. One of the things I like most is that you don't need to stock any inventory. Most companies today ship direct to your customers. Another nice benefit is that most of them even supply you with your own company website. So you will not need to learn how to make one or pay someone else to make one for you. All in all, going with a Network Marketing Company is one of the easiest ways to start.

Best advice I can give you is to take your time and choose a product or a company that you feel comfortable about. Preferably one that you can also get excited about. Then make a commitment to yourself to do whatever it takes to make your business a success and profitable. And then roll up your sleeves and get to work. Hang with it and don't give up.

Don't get caught up looking for the Magic Bullet. There is No Such Thing!

Tons of those so called Gurus are going to start coming out of the woodwork and tell you that they have it. Believe me, you can spend alot of money on all of their offers and just end up learning that there is NO MAGIC BULLET. There simply is No Magic Bullet. PERIOD!

First of all an internet business is almost useless if known only to a few people. There are so many competitors, one has to be active in promoting their website on a regular basis. If you joined one of the Network Marketing Companies, you already have your website. If not then making your website will be your frst task.

The Big Question now is how do you get people to come to your website. That my friend is one of those topics that fill volumes. But I have a Free and simple way that works just fine for me. Out of necessity, (because I was broke) I learned how to get my websites onto the first page of the major search engines. Guess what? It is not as complicated as you might think. It all comes down to Content and Backlinks. Really, that's it. The secret is, don't compete with the big dogs by going after keywords that are getting the most searches. Go for the long tail keyword phrases that don't have very much competition. Sure you won't get as much traffic as you would if you were on the

front page of those most coveted keywords. But since you probably will never see the front page with them anyway, a little traffic sure beats no traffic. To get more traffic you just have to go after more keywords that you CAN get on the front page with.

Here's basically what I do. After finding keywords that I can rank for, I create a free blog with the keywords in the title. Then I find all the information I can on the subject and write a long article about it using the keyword, as much as I can, in the article. Make sure it is written as if you were writing it to someone. In other words make it something people would want to read not just a bunch of keywords. Include a link to your money site in the anchor text of your chosen keyword phrase.

Next thing I do is spend time getting good back-links to the blog that I just created. Best way that I found is to hang out at Do-Follow Forums and make comments on the posts. I include a link to the same blog in my signature line. To find do follow forums with high page ranking, I just Google do-follow forums.

I could go on and be more specific, but that's really not the point of this article. The point is, I do certain things and I do them alot and I get results. It really is that simple. You will find, just like I did, ways to get better at the tasks. But it all starts with doing the work. By doing the work you learn the questions and by doing the work you answer your own questions. I can give you all the answers but if you don't know the questions yet then the answers just won't make any sense. Keep it simple and just do the work.
