I've been dabbling in internet marketing for some time now and the thing that I come across a lot are newbies that want to learn how to make money online. I'm a full time internet marketer. I make money from AdSense, affiliate products and CPA. I'm writing this post to try and help those that are starting out.

The main reason why most of us are doing this is because the benefits are so enticing! I mean, who wouldn't want to be holidaying around the world, living a carefree lifestyle as money continues to roll into your bank account without having to do any work. I know that, that's one of the reasons I started in this business.

It can be frustrating at first because there seems to be so much information floating around - where do you begin? I bought everything under the sun. Every eBook promised great riches at the push of a button and boy was I sure a sucker for the copy on those sales pages.

The one thing that they don't teach you, which I think is the most important lesson really is having the right mindset. Starting off with the right mindset is the biggest cause of failure or success. If you approached it like you would an offline business then you will definitely succeed but if you think it's some lottery that you play then forget about it.

Yes, you can replace your day job with online marketing but it will require work! Well, initially at the beginning. After you're in orbit, it's just a little bit of maintenance here and there. Here are some pointers to approaching internet marketing with the right attitude:

- Make a business plan
- Create a budget
- Do your research - what niche you will be getting into
- Study from other people, join forums and ask lots of questions
- Buy courses
- Think long term

This approach will steer you in the right direction. It doesn't happen over-night but it will happen! Do these things that I have recommend and you will survive. Don't make the mistake of rushing into online marketing like everyone out there. Why do you think there are only a few "gurus?". I've seen many guys come and go, all because they've been "sold" the get rich quick magic bullet.
