So, you have a nice Web site that is a couple of years old, but it is static and is primarily used as a brochure-style website. Yes, there are some easy techniques that can bring in other sources of income from your website. There's no need to do a full redesign of your website to accomplish this, especially if you are happy with your existing web design. Keep in mind that most sites need to be rebuilt or revitalized every 3 to 5 years to keep the design consistent with browsers and evolution of search engines, not to mention updated design styles.

An obvious network is ClickBank.com, where you can both sell and/or promote online products and services. You can also write an article about a topic that interests you and promote affiliate products that way, post it to your blog and then tweet the post on Twitter.com.

3. Sell Custom Banners - Now you have a nice website, with Google AdSense and a growing base of affiliates and articles. You've been working on advertising your website online and you now have a steady, growing amount of traffic each month. To leverage your site's popularity, you can create a space for your own custom banner ads. You can sell this space by time or thousands of impressions. If you do not have any banner software on your server or website, consider just keeping it simple by selling the space by month. Even a banner ad of $50 per month can bring in $600 per year! Find an advertiser who you do not compete with, but who offers your viewers products or services that are an extension of your own.

4. Paid Blog Posts - If you run out of ideas for your popular Web site's articles, consider accepting third party articles to post on your site or on your blog. Some article networks provide free articles for you to publish just so long as you agree to their terms of use. How does an article that is free bring you money? It brings in money indirectly by increasing traffic to your site. It keeps your content current and viable.

5. Still need other options to make more money online? Time for the big leap then, time to get your own e-commerce catalog. The best scenario is to invest in an e-commerce catalog that integrates into your existing site. It ensures higher customer trust and loyalty, one key need is that transactions are sent by an SSL secured connection. Focus on selling digital downloads and make sure your catalog can handle this type of product fluently. Digital products are ideal - no inventory to ship, no handling, no overhead and you set when they expire. If you can produce your own digital media you then also can sell this off to other Web merchants.

6. Bonus tip - Wow, your site has come a long way from the sad days of a simple static site. It is now more popular and valuable to you but also to your visitors! At this point you can consider creating a subscription-based members-only area with monthly recurring fees. As you are now committed to building your e-commerce site, you will naturally continue on with adding new content and services, new articles and products to keep your current subscribers happy and your list growing month after month!
